We are the only independent auditor of these Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD), offering a clearer summation of the data within as well as our evaluation of any key findings, findings which may end up dissuading the reader from investing in the franchise.
With many franchisers only allowing the potential franchisee 14 days to review a 400-page document containing up to 20 exhibits, the potential franchisee misses material information contained in the footnotes and exhibits.
Our Value Proposition is simple:
We approach franchising with skepticism, and we actively look for ways the franchiser takes advantage of the franchisees. We look for rebates and kickbacks on mandated supplies and equipment. We look for minimum royalty fees, many designed to grow via a CPI calculation. We look at corporate financials to see if cash is being drained out of the company or if debt is piled on top of debt. We look for conflicts of interest – do the executives own competing interests in similar companies? We run 20-year projections on all mandated spending and minimum royalties, and let you know the good news… and the bad.
We will review your FDD, perform our analysis, and then meet with you to discuss our findings. For those of you who are thinking of investing $500,000 and ten years of your life into this business, our $499 franchise analysis is money well spent.
